Interministerial Investment Committee Discusses Kabul Underground Market and Solar Power Projects

In the latest session of the Interministerial Investment Committee, a plan to establish an underground commercial market within the area governed by the Kabul Municipality in District One was discussed and referred to a designated committee for further review. This project is set to be implemented on land belonging to the municipality.

Additionally, the meeting covered solar power generation and storage projects in the provinces of Farah, Daikundi, Ghor, Zabul, and Uruzgan. The responsibility for conducting technical evaluations of these projects was assigned to the relevant company.

So far, the Taliban administration has not released details regarding the costs, scheduling, or monitoring mechanisms for these projects. Economic experts continually emphasize that transparency throughout the evaluation and implementation phases of public projects can prevent potential issues and increase the confidence of investors and residents.
